Aranyaka Institute was born from the meeting between our core group, Satsanga, and the forest communities of the Amazon.
Rooted in the study of the Vedas, we are guided by teachings that inspire many of our actions and projects. The name ‘Aranyaka’ has its origin in them – a word that honors the Forest Goddess, Aranyani, and reflects the sacred relationship between forest, wisdom, and spiritual path.
Our group first met the people of the Amazonian forest long ago, and has been honored to share deep, meaningful moments ever since — both in Acre and in our space in Lumiar, Rio de Janeiro.
From the very first encounter, we’ve been committed to keeping that connection alive.
Embraced by the forest and its people, we’ve continued to cultivate a profound relationship through gatherings, collaborative work and shared projects.
The institute was born from this ongoing relationship – with the intention of developing projects and creating spaces for exchange, learning, and connection.
The journey continues, guided by the forest, inspired by the people, and rooted in shared purpose.
